The two first met at a wedding when they were children. Castell was the timid flower girl at the wedding but she resembled a little runaway bride when Hayden (Hikaru) found Castell lost and struck with stage fright.

That day Castell dubbed Hikaru as her North Star. Castell has always followed after her Hikaru like a moth to light.

But the two lost sight of each other as they grew older, separated by circumstances outside of their control. Hayden, in particular, has experienced many sorts of relationships and the hardships that came with them.

Hayden’s father even went missing when she was a teenager and the trauma of that incident caused a lot of complications with all her personal relationships. Not wanting to lose her daughter as well, Hayden's mother, Ayame, became very controlling.

In an act of defiance against her mother’s wishes, Hayden was also previously engaged to someone else, her name is Nika. Nika is the opposite of Castell and akin to a snake. She is incredibly childish and astonishingly manipulative.

Castell found out about Hayden's engagement through her own private investigations and was enraged, falling into her own despair. Castell casted aside the purity and innocence Hayden loved about her to become her own idealized version of what she thought Hayden wants. She’s a powerful woman as an adult because of this.

However, Castell only knew of Hayden’s situation at face value. Castell wasn’t aware Hayden’s fiancée was psychologically abusing her into the relationship. Nika did nothing but feed into Hayden's depression and self-loathing.

After a very traumatic incident, Hayden lost her left eye and her job. Inconsolable, Hayden and her ex-fiancée eventually had a messy break up, leaving Hayden even more emotionally scarred and mentally ill than she was before.

In a universe where otherworldly forces and mankind alike can manipulate hearts and poison minds, Castell and Hayden have accumulated their share of power and dark secrets by the time fate ties them together again as adults.

And as fate would have it, Hayden and Castell’s sins catch up to them despite all that they do to happily be together.

その日、カステルはヒカルを自分の北極星と名づけた。カステルは、光に集まる蛾のように、いつもヒカルの後を追いかけている。

しかし、二人は成長するにつれ、自分たちのコントロール外の状況によって引き離され、お互いを見失う。特にヘイデンは、さまざまな人間関係とそれに伴う苦難を経験してきた。

ヘイデンは高校生の時に父親が行方不明になったこともあり、その事件のトラウマから、すべての人間関係を複雑にしてしまった。娘まで失いたくないヘイデンの母アヤメは、非常に支配的になった。

ただし、カステルはヘイデンの状況を額面通りにしか知らなかった。カステルは、ヘイデンの婚約者が交際中に彼女を心理的に虐待していたことに気づいていなかったのです。ニカはヘイデンの憂鬱と自己嫌悪を煽ることしかしなかった。

非常にトラウマ的な事件の後、ヘイデンは左目と仕事を失いました。 慰められず、ヘイデンと彼女の元婚約者は最終的に厄介な別れを迎え、ヘイデンは以前よりもさらに感情的に傷つき、精神的に病気になりました。
